Aeromexico allows one carry-on plus one personal item. The carry-on is about 55 x 40 x 25 cm; both pieces together can weigh 10 kg on Basic or 15 kg (33 lb) on Classic, AM Plus and Premier One. Basic includes no checked bag; the first bag costs $30 USD to the US and $500 MXN on domestic flights. AM Plus includes the first bag except to the US.
Aeromexico's carry-on can measure about 55 x 40 x 25 cm (21.6 x 15.7 x 9.8 in). Weight is the limit the fare pages print: 10 kg for the carry-on and personal item together on Basic, and 15 kg (33 lb) on Classic, AM Plus and Premier One. The Spanish pages say the 15 kg covers both pieces, while the English pages say each piece; we show this as a conflict.
Basic travelers get 5 kg less carry-on weight than Classic, a gap the fare pages state outright.
One personal item is allowed on top of the carry-on, such as a purse, laptop bag or small backpack of about 45 x 35 x 20 cm (17.7 x 13.8 x 7.9 in). It shares the carry-on's weight limit: 10 kg for both on Basic and 15 kg on Classic and higher fares.
Yes, Aeromexico sets a weight cap: 10 kg on Basic and 15 kg (33 lb) on Classic, AM Plus and Premier One. Because the Basic limit covers the carry-on and personal item together, a laptop bag counts toward the same 10 kg.
Basic includes 10 kg of carry-on and no checked bag. Classic raises the carry-on to 15 kg and includes a 25 kg checked bag on long-haul routes, but charges for the first bag on domestic flights. AM Plus includes the first checked bag everywhere except the United States, plus priority check-in and boarding. Premier and Premier One each include two checked bags. Classic, AM Plus, Premier and Premier One get 25% off extra bags.
Aeromexico Rewards members keep their member-level extra bag even on Basic 'Clase V' tickets, the one Rewards perk that survives on that fare.

$500 MXN is the first-bag price on a Basic domestic flight. To the USA and Canada it costs $30 USD, to the Caribbean and Central America $700 MXN or $35 USD, to South America $1,000 MXN or $50 USD, and to Europe $1,400 MXN or 60 EUR. Asia includes a bag. Classic also pays for the first domestic bag. Aeromexico says new US prices apply to tickets issued from April 16.
Classic includes one 25 kg checked bag to Europe, Asia, El Salvador, San José de Costa Rica and Quito. South America is disputed: the Spanish Classic page includes it, while the English and French pages exclude it, along with the USA, Canada and the Caribbean. On a multi-airline ticket, the first marketing carrier's allowance and charges apply to the whole trip.
Premier One is sold only on Europe, Asia, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Los Angeles and New York JFK routes.
| ROUTE | CLASSIC | AM PLUS | PREMIER ONE |

25 kg is the checked bag weight Aeromexico states for Classic tickets to Europe, Asia, South America, El Salvador, San José and Quito. On other economy tickets the usual limit is 23 kg (50 lb), and Premier bags can weigh up to 32 kg (70 lb). Each bag should stay within 158 linear cm (62 in). Bags over 32 kg are refused as checked baggage.
Overweight bags between 23 and 32 kg cost from about $60 USD each on international routes, with domestic charges set in MXN. A bag over 158 linear cm pays an oversize charge from about $60 USD. Any bag over 32 kg is refused. Strollers have their own verified oversize fee of $40.89.
Two bags come free with Premier and Premier One, and AM Plus includes one outside the United States. Classic includes a 25 kg bag on long-haul routes. Aeromexico Rewards members get an extra bag by member level, and that bag survives even on Basic 'Clase V' tickets. Some Aeromexico co-branded credit cards add a free checked bag, while Aeromexico has no general military waiver.
Yes. Small dogs and cats can fly in the cabin if pet and carrier weigh 9 kg or less together, in a rigid or soft carrier of about 45 x 35 x 25 cm that fits under the seat. The carrier takes the place of your carry-on. The fee is about $150 USD each way internationally or about $1,500 MXN domestically. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old, and exotic species are refused. Larger pets travel in the hold in an approved kennel with a health certificate and an advance reservation.
Unlike US airlines, Aeromexico still lists emotional support animals as a cabin option, subject to medical documentation and prior approval.
| OPTION | LIMIT | FEE |
|---|---|---|
| In cabin | Dogs and cats, 9 kg with carrier, about 45 x 35 x 25 cm | About $150 USD intl, $1,500 MXN domestic |
| Hold | Approved kennel, advance reservation | Quoted at booking |
| Emotional support animal | Cabin, prior approval and medical papers | Set by Aeromexico on approval |
Strollers up to 115 linear cm (45 linear inches) fly free with an infant under 2. A larger stroller pays an oversize fee of $40.89. Once the child turns 2, the stroller counts as your first checked bag at the normal rate for the route and season. Aeromexico's family page mentions car seats but publishes no rule for them.
Yes. Basic includes one carry-on and one personal item at no charge, but both together must weigh 10 kg or less. Basic does not include a checked bag.
No. AM Plus includes the first checked bag on domestic and other international routes, but on US transborder flights the first bag is sold for $30 USD.
Two checked bags are free on Premier One, plus a carry-on and personal item at 15 kg (33 lbs). The fare is sold only on Europe, Asia, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Los Angeles and JFK routes.
9 kg, counting the pet and the carrier together. Only small dogs and cats qualify, they must be at least 8 weeks old, and the carrier can be rigid or soft.
Yes. Classic, AM Plus and Premier One passengers can buy additional checked bags at 25% off. Basic fares do not list this discount.
$500 MXN on domestic flights and $30 USD to the USA and Canada. Central America and the Caribbean cost $700 MXN, South America $1,000 MXN and Europe $1,400 MXN. Asia includes a bag.
55 x 40 x 25 cm (21.6 x 15.7 x 9.8 in) is the usual carry-on limit, plus a personal item of about 45 x 35 x 20 cm. Both share a 10 kg limit on Basic and 15 kg on Classic and higher fares.
