Emirates' Economy checked allowance depends on the fare: 20 kg on Special, 25 kg on Saver, 30 kg on Flex and 35 kg on Flex Plus, with 40 kg in Business and 50 kg in First. Economy cabin baggage is one piece of 7 kg (15 lb) up to 55 x 38 x 22 cm. Flights to the Americas and Africa use 23 kg pieces instead.
Economy checked allowance runs on fare: 20 kg on Special, 25 kg on Saver, 30 kg on Flex and 35 kg on Flex Plus. Premium Economy gets 35 kg, Business 40 kg and First 50 kg. These totals apply on weight concept routes, which cover every route except the Americas and Africa. You can split the total across as many bags as you like, but no single bag may weigh more than 32 kg.
Saver gets 30 kg instead of 25 kg on journeys starting in Australia or New Zealand, and on Europe to Australia or New Zealand tickets issued from 5 July 2024.
On flights to and from the Americas and Africa, Emirates counts bags instead of kilos. Economy Special includes 1 piece up to 23 kg, while Saver, Flex and Flex Plus include 2 pieces up to 23 kg each. Africa joined the piece system in both directions for tickets issued on or after 9 August 2021.
