airBaltic Economy BASIC, CLASSIC and FLEX tickets include one 55 x 40 x 23 cm cabin bag plus a 40 x 30 x 15 cm personal item, 8 kg in total. Economy CLASSIC adds one free 23 kg checked bag, while BASIC and MINI include none. Economy MINI covers the personal item only, and Business allows two cabin bags with 24 kg total.
The cabin bag limit is 55 x 40 x 23 cm, and Economy BASIC, CLASSIC and FLEX tickets include one such bag plus a 40 x 30 x 15 cm personal item. Both pieces share an 8 kg weight limit. Economy MINI drops the cabin bag and keeps only the personal item. airBaltic doesn't say whether wheels and handles count, so measure the bag with them on.
A personal item can measure up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm on every airBaltic ticket. The airline names a handbag, small backpack, laptop bag, camera bag or umbrella as examples, and the bag must fit under the seat in front of you. Its weight counts toward the 8 kg Economy total, so a heavy laptop bag leaves less room for the cabin bag.
Economy passengers get 8 kg in total for the cabin bag and personal item together. Business and Business EXPERIENCE raise that to 24 kg across two cabin bags and a personal item. On Economy BASIC, CLASSIC and FLEX you can pay to lift the limit from 8 kg to 12 kg, and Economy MINI travelers can add a heavy cabin bag for 12 kg on board. airBaltic doesn't list the price on its cabin baggage page.
| TICKET | CABIN PIECES | TOTAL WEIGHT |
|---|---|---|
| Economy MINI | 1 personal item | 8 kg (12 kg paid option) |
| Economy BASIC, CLASSIC, FLEX | 1 cabin bag + 1 personal item | 8 kg (12 kg paid option) |
| BUSINESS, Business EXPERIENCE | 2 cabin bags + 1 personal item | 24 kg |
Economy CLASSIC is the cheapest fare with a free checked bag, one piece of up to 23 kg. Economy FLEX and both Business fares include two checked bags with a 46 kg combined limit and no more than 32 kg in any one bag. Economy BASIC includes a cabin bag but no checked bag, and Economy MINI includes neither.
airBaltic sells six ticket types: four Economy (MINI, BASIC, CLASSIC, FLEX) and two Business (BUSINESS, Business EXPERIENCE).

Checked bag prices are not published as a fixed table on airBaltic's baggage pages. BASIC and MINI passengers can add a bag on airBaltic.com, in Manage your booking or through the call centre, and the price appears during that step. Buying through the call centre costs more than online. Overweight and oversize charges are also not published on the pages we checked.
Each checked bag can measure up to 100 x 50 x 80 cm. Economy CLASSIC bags weigh up to 23 kg. On FLEX and Business, two bags share 46 kg, and a single bag can't exceed 32 kg, so two bags can't both be packed to 32 kg.
Yes, Club VIP members get two 55 x 40 x 23 cm cabin bags, a personal item and 24 kg in any travel class. Club Executive members flying Economy get one cabin bag and a personal item with 12 kg instead of 8 kg. airBaltic says checked allowances also depend on Club level but doesn't print the figures on its checked baggage page.
Club VIP members also carry one set of sports equipment free.
Sports equipment costs from €39.99 per set each way when you add it while booking on airBaltic.com or via the call centre. A bicycle costs €44.99 and golf equipment €49.99 at that stage. Adding it later in Manage your booking costs €49.99, and the airport charges €75. One set may weigh up to 32 kg, and Business passengers and Club VIP members carry one set free.
Yes, cats and dogs up to 8 kg including the carrier can fly in the cabin for €70 per crate each way. The carrier can't exceed 55 x 40 x 23 cm and goes under the seat in front, one per person. Heavier pets fly in the hold at €130 per crate up to 32 kg or €220 from 33 to 75 kg, each way.
On Amsterdam routes the hold limit drops to 39 kg for pet and crate together.

Yes, child car seats and bulky items that don't qualify as hand luggage count toward your total baggage allowance, so they use one of your paid or included pieces. Cellos, guitars and fragile items may ride in the cabin on the seat next to you. For items not listed, airBaltic asks you to contact it before travel.
