One small personal item, such as a handbag or laptop bag, can come on board alongside the cabin bag. No size for it appeared in the STARLUX text we could read, so plan on something that slides under the seat in front of you. This rule is our estimate until the carry-on page confirms it.
Each checked bag can weigh up to 32 kg (70 lb) in First and Business and 23 kg (50 lb) in Premium Economy and Economy. STARLUX recommends a total size of 158 cm (62 in) and may charge more above it. A bag over 203 cm (80 in), or between 32 and 45 kg, needs clearance from customer service at least 24 hours before departure. Anything over 45 kg (100 lb) or 292 cm (115 in) has to go as cargo.
Bags that cannot stand upright face a 100 cm (40 in) side limit on the A321neo and 150 cm (59 in) on the A330neo and A350.
Prepaying extra baggage on the STARLUX website or app saves 20%, as long as you buy at least 3 hours before departure. You can add up to 50 kg per passenger on each segment. At the airport, expect about USD 100 per extra piece on short-haul routes and about USD 200 on long-haul routes, billed in local currency.
