Frontier Airlines sells a carry-on up to 24 x 16 x 10 inches (61 x 41 x 25 cm) and 35 lb, and every ticket includes a free personal item up to 14 x 18 x 8 inches (36 x 46 x 20 cm). Checked bag prices vary by travel date and rise from booking to airport to gate. Checked bags max out at 40 lb (18.1 kg).
Frontier's carry-on limit is 24 x 16 x 10 inches (61 x 41 x 25 cm), measured with handles, wheels and straps, and the bag can weigh up to 35 lb (16 kg). On the basic fare the carry-on is a paid extra. Frontier does not post a fixed price; its Bag Price Checker sets the amount by travel date. The Economy, Premium and Business bundles include one.
Your free personal item can measure up to 14 x 18 x 8 inches (36 x 46 x 20 cm), straps, wheels and handles included. Every ticket gets one, basic fare included. Purses, totes, laptop bags and small backpacks qualify if they stay inside that box. Agents size the item during boarding, and anything bigger draws an extra charge that Frontier doesn't list. No weight limit is published.
Frontier caps carry-ons at 35 lb (16 kg), and its fee page prints that figure next to the size limit. For the personal item, Frontier lists dimensions only and no weight cap, so the 14 x 18 x 8 in box is the rule that gets checked.
Bundles start at $29 per passenger, per direction, and the cheapest price comes when you add one at first booking. The basic fare includes only the personal item. Economy adds a carry-on, a standard seat and no change or cancel fee. Premium adds a premium seat and early boarding with overhead bin space. Business adds two checked bags at 50 lb (23 kg) each plus an UpFront Plus seat.
Since October 2025, Frontier Miles members can pay for bundles with miles, and First Class 2x2 seats are replacing UpFront Plus during 2026.

No fixed checked bag fee is published. Frontier says bag prices depend on your travel dates and on when you buy. You pay the least at booking, more at the airport and the most at the gate. The exact amount for a first, second or third bag shows only in the Bag Price Checker on flyfrontier.com, so we don't list one.
A standard checked bag can weigh 40 lb (18.1 kg) and measure 62 linear inches (157 cm), adding length, width and depth. Business Bundle bags get 50 lb (23 kg) each. Bags over 100 lb or 110 linear inches are refused, and anything from 41 lb up pays an overweight fee.
A bag weighing 41 to 50 lb costs an extra $75 per direction. From 51 to 99.99 lb the charge is $129 for bookings made on or after April 4, 2026, and $100 for earlier bookings. Oversize bags of 63 to 110 linear inches add $75. Frontier's size FAQ still shows $100 for the heavier band, so we treat the fee page as current.

Hard carriers can measure 18 x 14 x 8 inches (46 x 36 x 20 cm) and soft ones 18 x 14 x 11 inches (46 x 36 x 28 cm). The carrier uses one of your two item slots. Frontier has no cargo option.
Frontier lets rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters ride in the cabin on domestic flights.
Both items are sized during boarding, and the 14 x 18 x 8 in personal item limit counts straps and wheels. Frontier says bags are priced highest at the gate, so a bag that fails the check there costs more than the same bag bought at booking.
Bicycles cost $100 per bag, per direction on bookings made on or after May 29, 2026. Bookings made on or before May 28, 2026 pay the old $75 rate. Frontier's fee page lists the bicycle charge separately from oversize and overweight fees.
